About Us

First and foremost the Business is Family run and established in 2003.
We are Plymouth Based, But do work in Somerset, Devon and Cornwall. We use to do the whole of the UK but now pass this on to other Local Aerial Photographers. The business was formed out of our Love for Photography. There are many photographers out there. We needed an opening. Something different. The difference came to us when we where visiting our friends in Spain. We saw a unique prospective on a property for sale. A few phone calls later and the puzzle was complete. The equipment was purchased and we never looked back. Ground Base was born. Now to put names in to the equation. The Team

Debra - Has always been a keen photographer. The cameras she uses for her hobby in photography are 35mm SLR Pentax and Canon. Although she prefers 'film cameras' she has now entered the 'Digital' world.

Her favourite camera. An excellent 5 Megapixel Kodak Z740 10 x optical and 5x advanced digital zoom. Why is it her favourite - " Its a camera that can fit in my bag. I like using viewfinders - not LCD screens and this camera gives excellent results. Its a take anywhere camera, ready to whip out and take that quick shot."

Chris - Again like Debra I have always been a keen photographer. I have in the past won an award for my photography    ( Best Photo In Category - Landscape of London, Exhibited in Sheffield ) and had my pictures shown on the ITV news. Add this to my knowledge of the 3 Software Packages we use and familiarity with computers means we do all the digital work in house. Although we feel that Photos should be 'untouched' whenever possible the editing is my strength. All in all we enjoy what we do. We feel we are lucky in that our hobby has become our business. Not everyone can truly say they love going to work.

My favourite camera. This is a difficult choice. I have favourites for each job. Each camera excelling in the chosen field. But if pushed I would have to say my hobby camera. The Canon EOS400D. The reason I say my hobby camera is that I have 6 Cameras. As mentioned each one excelling in its own field that I use for Work i.e.  Aerial, Virtual and Weddings. However the 400D I take everywhere with me ( when I can - otherwise its the canon ixus)

Both of us are people person's. We never forget you have a choice and we place customer satisfaction at the forefront of our business. A recommend from you the customer, to a friend, is what we are after. We strive and hope to exceed your expectations.
