But first what is Ground Base Photography?
Without the constraints of flight regulations and without the cost of aircraft hire, we capture high impact photographs from an elevated mast or balloon mounted camera. The camera is controlled from a laptop computer on the ground, allowing us and our clients to view what the camera is seeing.

This remote viewing capability means that images can be composed exactly as you want them and you, the client can add your input to the picture taking process. Our mast elevates the camera to over 15 Meters (50 feet, Balloon 50 Meters Approx 160 Ft) and allows us to capture aerial photographs from the perfect altitude and angle.

• Aerial photos of houses that can be bought and downloaded online show your house in the middle of a 1Km square. These images can be up to 5 years old and do not always guarantee that your property will be central to the photograph. • Traditional photography only shows the building from the ground up. When photographing homes with beautiful gardens, ponds, outbuildings etc. a better perspective is required. With an aerial view from a 50 foot mast the image gains depth and that all important height. Allowing all the features that you want to show off to become visible, not hidden behind the walls, trees etc.
• Ground Base can quickly obtain high resolution (8 Mega Pixel) images that can be presented as traditional prints, for publication up to A2, or as digital files that can be used on your website.
• At Ground Base we have 30 years combined experience of traditional photography  and 2 years of Aerial Photography. We are accomplished photographers and have had pictures published in local papers, and been successful in competitions. The business is supported by extensive public liability insurance cover giving you complete peace of mind.

Disadvantages

• The balloon system, like the aircraft, is weather dependant. The mast system can be raised in all weathers. However for safety we do not like to operate in High wind conditions. Also common sense dictates that we don't put up a 15 Meter Metal pole in the air when its lightning.
• Extremely rough terrain. We do have a 4x4 vehicle, but even these have limits.
